  • FaceID/Biometrics processed locally by iOS Secure Enclave.
  • No backend servers; we see zero data.

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 2026

TipStash acts as a secure, local vault for your income data. We prioritize privacy by design, ensuring that your financial logs never touch our servers.

1. Data Storage & Sync

Local Storage: All income, shift logs, and wage settings are stored securely in a local database on your iPhone.
iCloud Sync: If enabled in settings, data is synced to your personal private iCloud container. This data is encrypted by Apple. The developer has no access to this data.

2. Biometrics (FaceID / TouchID)

If you enable the Privacy Lock, the app uses the LocalAuthentication framework to verify your identity. Biometric data is processed exclusively by the iOS Secure Enclave. TipStash receives only a "Success" or "Failure" signal; it never accesses your facial data or fingerprints.

Terms of Use

1. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the income data logged. TipStash is a tracking tool, not a certified tax accounting software.

2. Data Loss

Because we do not host your data, we cannot recover it if you lose your device and have not enabled iCloud backups. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.
